AM/FM Antenna issue

Post by Okie34 »

After replacing my Clarion with another "more standard" radio, I've found that I also have a break or grounding somewhere in the coax on the stock antenna. I've also found that I am constantly having to tighten the break over to keep it from coming loose at almost every stop.

Given that, I am in the market for a replacement antenna. I am looking for the break over type. What are the current replacements? I've got a PM to Neal, to see what he may have and also have an e-mail out to Carl. Any other suggestions?

Thanks! --JD

They sell a replacement break over antenna for the older Goldwings that is basically identical to the Voyagers.

This antenna is used for both the CB and/or the Radio. Early Goldwings used an antenna splitter so both the radio and the CB could use the same antenna. Later on they got rid of the splitter and then used two antenna's, but both could be the same type. The antenna sold by Saber Cycle functions equally well in both applications.

P.S. There are many accessory items for older Goldwings that can be used on the Voyager.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
