IPOD adapter kit for 2012 Voyager

Post by bearclaw »

Just curious if anybody is using the IPOD adapter kit for their Voyager. Every time I use mine, it plays a few songs and then just starts going from song to song without playing them. Approx a few seconds between songs. It's almost like it doesn't hear the songs and moves to the next one. Any suggestions, ideas, hints, etc?

I've been using mine for almost 3 years without issue. Mine is the last Nano before they went microNano. I mostly play it in Random mode, but do have several playlists and have played by selecting an Artist.

Do the songs that are being skipped play correctly when you dock your iPod into another device like home stereo?

It works fine in my truck, it works fine in the dock at home, everywhere except the bike. Been checking other forums, and it has been suggested that the cable into the IPOD might be coming loose or unplugged slightly. I have a new plan next time. Gonna make sure the cable stays plugged in. Worth a shot.

Thanks for the response.

Did a test run yesterday fixing what I thought might be the problem. Rode for 3 hours and never had a problem with the IPOD. Seems the cable was getting loose in the IPOD. Put a band around the IPOD with the band attached to the cable. Couldn't come loose. Working like a champ.

Ride safe.
