Hello everyone! As of today, we have 90 registered! That's going to be a great turn out!
Just a reminder that rally registration closes on May 9 so that we can place our t-shirt order for the rally.
If you are coming, but have not sent in your registration, do it TODAY or TOMORROW!
After that, we will not accept any orders for t-shirts. We order a few extra of the most common sizes for the rally. You can only get what is available.
Have you all made your hotel reservations? If not, do it NOW! If our blocked rooms are full at Laquinta Inn, you'll have to find other lodging.
See you all soon!
The "seen all too often" car turns left , in front of bike ! Sure helped that the rider was a young ,agile 22 year old. That would hurt old farts like us
I actually saw that yesterday morning on the news and was amazed. I can only hope IF that ever happens to me I have the flexibility and luck to spin and land unharmed like that!

Well . . . . . . . . it appears that the motorcyclist was traveling at a higher rate of speed than he should have been, he doesn't appear to be slowing down, and the car was more than half way through the turn when the bike entered the intersection so one would think he had time to take at least some evasive action.
I'm not defending the car driver in this instance as we can't see "up the road" where the biker is coming from but it appears that the biker may be at least partially at fault here. . . .

The rider was also cited for not having an endorsement, which means he probably hasn't taken any rider safety courses. Despite being ticketed, he went out and bought another bike and rode off on his new burner. Hopefully he was served with a wake-up call, and he'll get the training he needs to be safe.
