Hello everyone! As of today, we have 90 registered! That's going to be a great turn out!
Just a reminder that rally registration closes on May 9 so that we can place our t-shirt order for the rally.
If you are coming, but have not sent in your registration, do it TODAY or TOMORROW!
After that, we will not accept any orders for t-shirts. We order a few extra of the most common sizes for the rally. You can only get what is available.
Have you all made your hotel reservations? If not, do it NOW! If our blocked rooms are full at Laquinta Inn, you'll have to find other lodging.
See you all soon!

Hi, I own a 2000 and I think #1 and 4 are tee,ed to the advance with a plastic ( filter ) inline
that for some reason has an in and out. I think the marking goes toward the carb vacuum. That other vac fitting ? didn't it go to the California sys ? I will have my fake tank off tomorrow and will look closer at that , Does it feel like its lack of fuel , or does it just stumble when you get on the throttle under load ? Ron has a good point about the plug wiring . but if you feel confident about that then we are missing something. I'm guessing you rpl,ed the fuel filter already. Hope you get it worked out. Gene

update to vac line , yes the small vac line from #1 goes to vac advance. Gene Kap

Thanks. Replaced all vacuum hoses. I'll take a close look at the boots, but they were very supple when I put the carbs back on... I may have one folded back?
Thanks.

An easy way to know if you have an air leak in the boots is to start the bike and let it idle, spray some starter fluid that has the little tube attached to the spray head, at each carb boot. If there is a leak the engine will speed up. If it doesn't then the boots and clamps are good and not leaking in any air.

Latest on the stutter problem. It is no more. I performed Mr. Kaufmann's "Enriching the Needle Jet" procedure described in detail on the Tech page. Now she purrs like a kitten, then roars smoothly to life as I roll in the throttle. Took about an hour start to finish, pulled the airbox off and one at a time pulled the top off the carbs, removed the needle and spring, installed the washers, and back together. What a load off my mind. Just wish I would have done it before my 1000 mile ride last weekend. It was cooler in the Finger Lakes and it stuttered most of the time because it wouldn't get as warmed up.
Thanks for all the help. Safe riding.
