Hello everyone! As of today, we have 90 registered! That's going to be a great turn out!
Just a reminder that rally registration closes on May 9 so that we can place our t-shirt order for the rally.
If you are coming, but have not sent in your registration, do it TODAY or TOMORROW!
After that, we will not accept any orders for t-shirts. We order a few extra of the most common sizes for the rally. You can only get what is available.
Have you all made your hotel reservations? If not, do it NOW! If our blocked rooms are full at Laquinta Inn, you'll have to find other lodging.
See you all soon!
It seems like winter is setting in hard and early this year
I am still below 6,000 miles on the VXII,and less than 300 on the Cushman,so no record miles on either of them.
It does seem we are using the heating system in the house earlier and harder than normal.
Honestly I have no idea how many or shall I say how few miles I've put on my XII this year. I can say as always I have enjoyed each and every one of them though!
As for the heat/furnace, ditto! It's been running like there's no tomorrow.

But I now have the time to PM and clean the bike up
but still bah humbug to this cold. Seems like I just turned the air-cond. off for the fall that I didn't see. Rains came and there went the leave's off the trees
winds came and blew all the leaves out of the yard and off the pool cover.... and wham--- time to turn the heat on in the shop...
Very cold here today and still a few spots of snow off in the woods and non-sun areas in the yard
heat today- well I cranked it up today to 70 deg------ and enjoyed every minute of it.
Even though, it's taking longer to clean and detail the bike than to do the PM work for the coming season.

Gene. It's bad here in northern Illinois also. Been getting into the single digits at night. I keep the heat on low all the time in my garage but when I'm working in there I have it cranked up from 65 to 70. Have all the fairings off one bike and half off the 96. Yes cleaning them up and I have a lot of maint on both of them this winter I want to do. Have parts off to the chromer also.
This winter definitely came fast, and has already had more snow, than in the last few winters combined! Was thinking I would get in a few more riding days before bad weather. Little warm up, this coming week, so hopefully I will get in a short ride and get the bike put away properly for the winter.
I have tried to get a bike ride in on my birthday every year since I started riding {1983}.
That is December 15,some years I do,many I do not I will find out Saturday
Here in NJ it’s not been great but I’ve managed some nice rides with the South Jersey Retreads. Been out 3 of the last 4 Sundays featuring everything from highs of 45 ,55 and yesterday at just above 32. Figured I would share the first picture of it snowing last week and even better yesterday’s picture of me breaking out my vintage 1993 Spartan riding suit. Really ugly and in December I was probably mistaken for Santa at some point. However that suit is really warm. My wife was trying out her new Gerbings gloves and socks. Really been having to wash off the road grime but it’s been fun.
