Hello everyone! As of today, we have 90 registered! That's going to be a great turn out!
Just a reminder that rally registration closes on May 9 so that we can place our t-shirt order for the rally.
If you are coming, but have not sent in your registration, do it TODAY or TOMORROW!
After that, we will not accept any orders for t-shirts. We order a few extra of the most common sizes for the rally. You can only get what is available.
Have you all made your hotel reservations? If not, do it NOW! If our blocked rooms are full at Laquinta Inn, you'll have to find other lodging.
See you all soon!

Still wont start

Post by samchar12 »

Still can't get it to start. Cranks strong and sound like its trying to start. Getting some heat from the crankcase so I think at least a cylinder is firing. Have spark at all cylinders and fresh battery. Did a compression and fuel pressure test and reads as follows: 1-150 2-115 3-120 4-120 5-110 6-145 35 psi fuel. What could cause the difference in compression? Any thoughts?

You're holding the throttle WFO for the test, right? Worst case, you got some bad rings or bad valves or both. Best case: rings are a bit sticky (From sitting a long time) and/or valves clearance is out of spec. Have you verified valve clearance?
