If you hear a squeaking sound while riding that comes from somewhere in the fairing, it's probably your right side frame bolts.
This is the fairing frame, and best I can tell the two bolts with red arrows are the two that were only finger tight on my bike. I tightened them up, and my fairing has stopped squeaking at speed. I was able to tighten the top bolt easily by removing the false tank cover, and was able to cram my hand and a wrench into the fairing hole by the engine head to tighten the lower one.
If these aren't the two bolts that normally loose let me know!
Hello everyone! As of today, we have 90 registered! That's going to be a great turn out!
Just a reminder that rally registration closes on May 9 so that we can place our t-shirt order for the rally.
If you are coming, but have not sent in your registration, do it TODAY or TOMORROW!
After that, we will not accept any orders for t-shirts. We order a few extra of the most common sizes for the rally. You can only get what is available.
Have you all made your hotel reservations? If not, do it NOW! If our blocked rooms are full at Laquinta Inn, you'll have to find other lodging.
See you all soon!

Re: Squeak While Riding
Sidehopper,Check all the fairing mount bolts! Only one of my bolts was tight.
I found that because if a squeak in the front of my bike.
If I remember,there are six.

Re: Squeak While Riding
A fairing teardown is on my list of maintenance jobs so I'll definitely check out the other 4 bolts soon! I'm happy you said you had a squeak too, seems like the best way to tell (besides a teardown) since the squeak only starts around highway speed.cushman eagle wrote: ↑Sat Jul 17, 2021 1:02 am Sidehopper,Check all the fairing mount bolts!
