Hello everyone! As of today, we have 90 registered! That's going to be a great turn out!
Just a reminder that rally registration closes on May 9 so that we can place our t-shirt order for the rally.
If you are coming, but have not sent in your registration, do it TODAY or TOMORROW!
After that, we will not accept any orders for t-shirts. We order a few extra of the most common sizes for the rally. You can only get what is available.
Have you all made your hotel reservations? If not, do it NOW! If our blocked rooms are full at Laquinta Inn, you'll have to find other lodging.
See you all soon!

We like Kroil in our repair shop
We never tried the mix of ATF and acetone, but it sounds like we should try that also,as we often have some quite rusty equipment come in :thk:

I like Kroil when I can find it. Last time I had a stubborn bolt I used PB Blaster.

Sounds like a good mix Acetone/thin oil is a very thin solvent mixed with a thin oil. Now i know some may think this is off the wall, but I go right to the cleaning tank, scoop up some solvent from the tank that has cleaned and mixed with just about everything from dirty engine oil to trans / gear oil /diesel fuel and whatever has been cleaned off in the tank. Then with a acid brush I apply it to the area . The majority is cleaning fluid and is SO thin is seeps into the tightest, DRY and RUSTED AREA'S . Once it seeps in and has wetted the rust that usually loosens up the rust and out comes the fastener or shaft .
All that is needed is to wet the rust that has things bound up, and does not cost a dime. A old German foreman taught me this trick from before all these Bolt ease / nuts off and other canned products came about. He even used a few drops gasoline or kerosene to seep into tight spots. Old school tech trick
