Hi, I have decided I want a hard-copy of the zg1200 service manual that is correct for my 2003. I have the supplement both in cd and hard-copy, and I have the manual in Cd (somewhere, gotta find the flash-drive it's on).
I just prefer to have a hard-copy for home as the CD version is hard to read in places (better for traveling though if you have a computer).
Question: Are there different versions of the manual. the only one listed on ebay and amazon state they are 1986 editions. Is that the base for all models, or is there a later version (it says 1986 to 1998?)?

PS. Got my speedo sender hub in and need to change it. Haven't been much of a wrench turner in years and i don't know anyone in the Phoenix area that could kibitz over the shoulder.

Ken to my knowledge the manual is the same for all models. The only thing that changed was covered in the supplement. The bike changed very little over it's history. .......Gator Mike

I finally found my flash with the Pdf Service Manual. It lists itself as:

(c) Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. 1986 "First Edition (9): June 25, 1997 (K)

Just noticing.

Yep, just cruise control and rear speakers, guess Kawasaki got it right the first time on this one, wish they still built them with the only change being fuel injection.

Actually Kawasaki got it right several times. Kawasaki 1000 police bike, the 1000 Concours, The ZRX, as well as the Voyager 1200.
