Hello everyone! As of today, we have 90 registered! That's going to be a great turn out!
Just a reminder that rally registration closes on May 9 so that we can place our t-shirt order for the rally.
If you are coming, but have not sent in your registration, do it TODAY or TOMORROW!
After that, we will not accept any orders for t-shirts. We order a few extra of the most common sizes for the rally. You can only get what is available.
Have you all made your hotel reservations? If not, do it NOW! If our blocked rooms are full at Laquinta Inn, you'll have to find other lodging.
See you all soon!

Just put a Dunlop Elite 3 on the front. 500 miles so far and it is a great tire. No wandering, no tracking pavement irregularities, doesn't follow tar snakes, and doesn't get squirrelly on the metal grates they use on drawbridges. Smooth and quiet, predictable cornering, and made in the USA! What is not to love? By the way, $125 delivered from Bike Bandit.

Avons are another good choice and load weight is a bit higher. Good in the rain and nice in the twisties of N.C. I replace tires every season and the avons I remove a fellow down the road scarfs right up on them the day I take them off. They could go many more miles.

Got Pirelli MT66 Route's on my bike. Seem to track well, tire life seems okay (got 8,000 miles on them now, life touch over half gone on back, front less), don't catch grooved pavement, handles wet weather well, reasonably priced.

I had 25,000 on my rear E3 when I changed it out before going to the rally in Asheville. My front E3 now has about 20,000 miles and still has a ways to go. . . .

...and then there is always pulling the tires off an old VW Beetle like the adventurous riders among us are doing these days! Just kidding. I am throwing a vote for E3 Dunlops as well.

A lot of motorcycles have different sized wheels for the front and back. The logical reason is that it allows a larger diameter tire to be mounted on the rear for better handling and a more esthetic appeal. I have to go back a long way to remember when most of the motorcycles I rode, in general had the same rim size on both ends.

My 1971 Honda CB100 has differing sized tires, 2.50 x 18 front, 2.75 x 17 back. Depended on where marketed in the world and year, some had 18" rims both front and back, others differed like mine. My 1987 Suzuki LS650 Savage had 100/90-19 front, 140/80-15 rear. Seems very common among cruisers. Seems to me that the XII has a heritage with water cooled cruisers, with an engine with sport bike heritage detuned, modified and set up for cruising. May be I am wrong, but that's how I perceive it.

Do not put the Shenko tire on front ,I tried one trying to save a little money and now I am drifting all over the place. A shame because otherwise they seem pretty good.
