To cut it, I just used a table saw and did a straight cut across the top and then used a can to mark the corners with a permanent marker. Shaved them to a nice curve and finished with a little sand paper.

BTW, I love the look and am intrigued by your blacked-out Voyager. I use my trunk constantly but have thought of going more that direction. My paint scheme is the black and turquoise. Have thought all black would bring it more up-to-date and would look really sharp. Can't tell from the pick but did you do the paint DIY?
Shave it down more and it will hit you even lower. I mentioned before that I used to own a ZRX1100 with the stock shield the wind would deflect to hit me in the chest which was fine for highway riding because it took the pressure off my wrists. I eventually changed over to taller windshield with a curved lip at the top. This deflected the wind to just at my forehead on the highway which was less tolerable for long distance riding but better for around town. As for now the full shield with the added vent in it on my Voyager is the best of all worlds. And yes it gets very hot riding in summer in Louisiana.Rich in New Jersey wrote:I cut my old one down last summer but the wind hit me right in the eyes.I had to ride with the face shield closed which I never do. I put the larger one back on after a week or so. Maybe I need to shave it down some more.
