Hello everyone! As of today, we have 90 registered! That's going to be a great turn out!
Just a reminder that rally registration closes on May 9 so that we can place our t-shirt order for the rally.
If you are coming, but have not sent in your registration, do it TODAY or TOMORROW!
After that, we will not accept any orders for t-shirts. We order a few extra of the most common sizes for the rally. You can only get what is available.
Have you all made your hotel reservations? If not, do it NOW! If our blocked rooms are full at Laquinta Inn, you'll have to find other lodging.
See you all soon!

Ummm.. :-O what the heck is that? :corn:

And whats up with that front end? Spring loaded disc brake setup?

OHH.. i know.. lock the front brake up.. the spring lets the bar come down, hit the road and flip you off the bike (scooter, or, umm what ever it is)!

Oh and guys, dont sit to close to the carbs while riding.. if you know what i mean. :gig:

EDIT: Hey! I got the first post for 2016!

Brok, i think I figured out the purpose of the spring on the front end. Since it is an air-cooled engine I was wondering what that device is under the headlight with the little fan. It's an ABS controller. Being so small, that front tire would be so easy to lock up, hence the ABS, and that spring must be to dampen some of the pulsing effects of the ABS action on that small wheel.
But, two calipers? Wow! Seems like a ton of overkill! Brakes have to be sized according to engine output, but in this case the weak link in the chain is the wheel size, so a smaller single caliper could have been used.

Notice the hard-pan seat? That accounts for the smaller gas supply! I guess they figured that most riders would want a break from riding a lot sooner, so the tank didn't need to be so big as in past years! This bike must have been designed by one of the Iron-Butt-Club members.
